History

Aamir Farooq, the founder and proprietor of Atlas Event Management, is a trailblazer in the world of large-scale public entertainment. With over a decade of experience and 1000+ major events executed for government bodies and the Indian Army, he has redefined how people experience leisure in Jammu & Kashmir.

In 2021, Aamir made history by conceptualizing and launching India’s First Floating Cinema, inaugurated by the Hon’ble Home Minister during the Iconic Week Festival. The project received national acclaim, earning him the title “Floating Man of India.”

Under his leadership, Atlas Event Management now operates Aquaplex Crown, a first-of-its-kind entertainment complex developed under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) with the Directorate of Tourism, Jammu. His vision continues to shape innovative, tourism-driven attractions across the region

Aamir Farooq is a visionary entrepreneur, cultural curator, and tech innovator, best known as the Managing Director of Aquaplex Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. and Proprietor of Atlas Event Management. With over a decade of experience in event creation, public-private partnerships, and immersive technology, he has redefined how people experience leisure, entertainment, and culture in Jammu & Kashmir.

Under his leadership, Aquaplex Crown has emerged as North India’s most innovative open-air destination, offering attractions like the region’s biggest open-air cinema, VR Experience Zones, RC Car Arenas, and eco-friendly entertainment built on sustainability principles such as a strict no-polyethylene policy.

Aamir is also credited as the pioneer of India’s first Floating Cinema, launched in 2021 and inaugurated by the Hon’ble Home Minister of India. Often called the “Floating Man of India”, his work has received national recognition for blending modern experiences with local culture and tourism development.
